As regular readers of our blog know, we regularly post interviews with entrepreneurs getting funding on Bitbond. This week, we are delighted to introduce you to Todd, a successful marketplace seller who has been active on eBay, Etsy and Amazon for years. In this excellent interview, we discuss his business, the purpose of his eCommerce loan, and the future of bitcoin.
Let’s get started!
Thanks for taking the time to talk to us Todd. Could you start off by telling us a little about your business?
We are a family ran apparel business from USA. My wife who is Thai introduced me to her family years ago who were also involved in the apparel industry. We joined forces and opened a small shop in Thailand for production. All of our product is produced from raw materials purchased from Thailand. Once the product is finished and inspected all product is shipped to fulfilment centers in USA and worldwide.
Once a customer places the order through one of our seller platforms a Naluck labelled package is shipped directly to the customer. We are excited to announce our expansion further into the European market and Germany is next on the list. We have had much success with the U.K and look forward to providing our NaLuck brand items to Germany. Currently we are selling our products wholesale and retail in USA, Canada, Japan and the U.K. This is a very exciting time for us and joining Bitbond seems like a great fit for us with it’s loyal investors.
Why have you chosen this particularly niche?
My wife actually introduced me to the apparel industry years ago while travelling to Thailand. I met with her family members who were sewing a customized hand bag for someone and asked my wife why we could’t introduce this fantastic product over in USA. As they say the rest is history as I was hooked right away. I pushed my idea of expansion into the USA and other markets until it became a reality.
What do you hope to achieve with your loan and why did you choose Bitbond over a bank?
The loan will be used for the purchase of raw materials as we are planning to further expand into Europe with Germany on the horizon. The banks can be brutal when asking for a loan and are not loan friendly to small businesses.
I researched Bitbond with of it’s features and offerings and seen an excellent new opportunity and partner for funding which in return will give us a much needed financial boost needed without all the hassles from the bank.
Bitbond’s rates and terms are very attractive and we are excited to be part of the team.
What is your favorite feature on Bitbond? What features do you think are missing?
I Enjoy the comments area and look forward to introducing myself with investors on that platform. It is also great to monitor the current loans and research some of the loan history as well. If I missed it somewhere a live operator for correspondence with agents and a chat room would be great features.
What would you want potential investors to know about your loan?
Well, like I mentioned before the loan would be used for materials as we have our hearts set on Germany . The loan is helping us grow as a company and I feel fortunate to have such a great opportunity to work with such wonderful, good energy investors. The loan will also be a much needed boost for the continued growth and expansion of our product line.
What do you think the future holds for bitcoin? Is it the modern-day equivalent of the internet or will it fall flat on its face?
Bitcoin eventually could replace credit cards and has the potential to give the banks a real headache. This is very predictable with bitcoin’s increasing use in the e-commerce market and favorable rates.
The sky is the limit If you truely think about bitcoin,s potential and assets to investors and entrepreneurs. In other words there is no stopping it or slowing it down in our modern world. In my opinion the Bitcoin frenzy is here to stay.
As a business owner, does your place of work accept bitcoin? If not, what do are the chances of that changing?
In the past I never considered bitcoin as a payment option for our product. Now my eyes are wide open as I see a huge market developing with digital currency.
I believe we will be accepting bitcoin in the near future and look forward to implementing it as an expansion of our payment gateway. Keeping all options open with bitcoin is a no brainer.
Thank you very much for an excellent interview Todd. Investors who want to help Todd grow his business, can still invest in his eCommerce loan for a limited time.
