Best Tokenization Platforms in 2026: A Buyer's Guide for Banks, Funds and Issuers

TL;DR
The right platform depends on the issuance's legal regime, where your investors are, and which licensed roles you need. Securitize fits US SEC-registered offerings. For German eWpG securities, BaFin lists Cashlink, 21X, DekaBank and Tradevest Digital Assets among authorized registrars. 21X runs an EU DLT Pilot trading venue. For self-serve issuance, Bitbond Token Tool starts at $99 per core token.
How we evaluated
Our 6 criteria:
- Regulatory route: regimes supported and licenses held by the provider or its affiliates.
- Token standards: how transfer and eligibility rules are enforced on-chain. Our ERC-1400 vs ERC-3643 comparison explains the trade-offs.
- Chains: public and permissioned networks supported.
- Operating model: self-serve, white-label, enterprise software or full service.
- Lifecycle coverage: issuance through custody, corporate actions and secondary trading.
- Track record: dated public deployments.
Bitbond builds Token Tool and Offering Manager. We included our own products and applied the same criteria to every platform. Facts about other platforms come from their own public materials, linked in the sources, as of September 2026. Where a regulator register or a news report was the better source, we cite it.
Platforms are not issuers
Some well-known names in tokenization are issuers, not platforms you can hire. Ondo offers its own onchain products, such as OUSG for exposure to short-term US Treasuries [9], and Spiko offers UCITS government money market funds [10]. BlackRock's BUIDL is a fund, and Securitize is the tokenization platform and transfer agent behind it [11]. This guide covers platforms: what issuers use to create, sell and manage their own tokens.
Best for US SEC-registered offerings
Securitize
Best for: asset managers selling tokenized funds and securities to US investors through SEC-registered entities.
Securitize, a US tokenization company, has traded on the New York Stock Exchange as SECZ since July 2, 2026 and reported total AUM of $4.3 billion as of June 30, 2026 [1]. It tokenized BlackRock's BUIDL fund, launched on Ethereum on March 20, 2024, and acts as its transfer agent [11].
- Standards and chains: its own DS Protocol [12]. BUIDL added Aptos, Arbitrum, Avalanche, OP Mainnet and Polygon in November 2024 [13]; in Q2 2026 Securitize extended a fund to Solana and integrated TRON [1].
- Regulatory footprint: an SEC-registered broker-dealer operating an ATS, plus an SEC-registered transfer agent and investment adviser; a Spanish affiliate runs a DLT Pilot Regime trading and settlement system [1], licensed by the CNMV in November 2025 [14].
- Notable deployments: BUIDL (March 2024) [11]; in Q2 2026, Computershare and Continental Stock Transfer & Trust chose it for issuer-sponsored tokenized shares [1].
- Consider it if: your investors are in the US and you want one regulated group from issuance to trading.
- Look elsewhere if: you need a German eWpG crypto security; its regulated entities sit in the US and Spain [1].
Zoniqx
Best for: US issuers and distributors routing tokenized deals to broker-dealers, RIAs and wealth platforms.
Zoniqx is a US technology company: z360 handles structuring, tokenization and lifecycle operations, and zConnect routes assets to broker-dealers, RIAs and wealth platforms with one KYC/KYB check [15]. It reports 20+ live issuances on 14+ blockchains (September 2026) [15].
- Standards and chains: ERC-7518 (DyCIST), which Zoniqx developed, and ERC-3643. Named networks include the XRP Ledger, Hedera and Polygon [15][17].
- Regulatory footprint: Zoniqx states that it is not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser or transfer agent [15].
- Notable deployments: a Ripple partnership for the XRP Ledger (February 23, 2024) [16]. StegX deployed ERC-7518 on Hedera with over $100 million of real estate onboarding (May 27, 2025) [17].
- Consider it if: your bottleneck is US distribution rather than issuance.
- Look elsewhere if: you want the provider itself to hold broker-dealer or transfer agent registrations [15].
Best for EU bond issuance
Bitbond
Best for: banks and corporates issuing digital bonds and security tokens on public blockchains, with no-code tools or an enterprise license.
Bitbond is a Berlin tokenization company founded in 2013 and led by CEO Radoslav Albrecht. Token Tool creates and manages tokens without code, and Offering Manager runs primary offerings end to end: KYC onboarding, white-label checkout, multi-rail payments and document management. Bitbond reports $1.2B+ in assets tokenized, 7,000+ tokens deployed and 300+ offerings managed.
- Standards and chains: 11 public blockchains. ERC-1400 style security tokens with transfer restrictions and allowlisting, real-world asset tokens, lockers and vesting run on the 8 EVM chains (Ethereum, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon PoS, Avalanche, peaq). Stellar supports security tokens, lockups and vesting. Solana and XRPL support token creation and multisend. Enterprise adds EVM-compatible private chains, and CertiK and AuditOne audited the contract templates.
- Pricing and custody: pay per use or an enterprise flat license; custody integrations include Fireblocks and Safe.
- Regulatory footprint: Bitbond issued BB1 in 2019, the first BaFin-approved security token bond. Token Tool supports compliant structures; counsel and licensed partners supply the legal structure and the regulated roles.
- Notable deployments: in early 2021 Vonovia issued a EUR 20M, 3-year registered bond (Namensschuldverschreibung) represented by security tokens on Stellar, privately placed via the firstwire platform with M.M. Warburg as investor, and, per Bitbond's case study, Bitbond provided the tokenization and digital asset custody tech stack and expertise [18]. Named customers include ABN AMRO and Raiffeisen Bank International.
- Consider it if: you want no-code issuance, the offering flow and custody integrations from one provider.
- Look elsewhere if: you want the software provider itself to act as registrar, trading venue or broker-dealer.
Cashlink
Best for: German issuers that want a BaFin-licensed crypto securities registrar plus tokenization for eWpG bonds and funds.
Cashlink Technologies, based in Frankfurt, describes its model as a BaFin-regulated registrar license plus tokenization as a service [19]. It lists DZ Bank, Helaba and NRW.BANK among its partners [19].
- Standards and chains: mostly Polygon so far, though it says it is not tied to one chain (Ledger Insights, April 2026) [20].
- Regulatory footprint: BaFin lists it as a crypto securities registrar since June 26, 2024, and as a qualified crypto custodian [3].
- Notable deployments: NRW.BANK's first digital bond, a 2-year EUR 100 million eWpG crypto security on Polygon with Cashlink as registrar (July 2025) [21], and tokenized funds for Metzler [20].
- Consider it if: your instrument must be a German crypto security.
- Look elsewhere if: you need a US offering; Cashlink focuses on European issuance [19].
Best for regulated secondary trading in the EU
21X
Best for: issuers and banks that want tokenized securities traded on an EU-regulated DLT venue and settled against stablecoins.
21X, based in Frankfurt, runs a DLT trading and settlement system under the EU DLT Pilot Regime. Licensed in December 2024, it fully opened on September 8, 2025, and its smart-contract order books settle delivery versus payment in MiCAR-compliant stablecoins [7][22].
- Standards and chains: EVM contracts compatible with common security token standards, on Polygon PoS [22], and live on Stellar since May 6, 2026 [7].
- Regulatory footprint: BaFin lists 21X AG as authorized to operate a DLT TSS since December 16, 2024, and as a crypto securities registrar [4].
- Notable deployments: FINMA-regulated AMINA Bank announced on March 9, 2026 that it had become the first regulated bank listing sponsor on 21X [23].
- Consider it if: you need regulated EU secondary trading for tokenized bonds, shares or fund units.
- Look elsewhere if: your investors trade outside the EU [4].
Best for permissioned tokens on ERC-3643
Tokeny
Best for: fund managers and banks that want permissioned ERC-3643 tokens with Apex Group fund services behind them.
Tokeny, a Luxembourg company, created ERC-3643, an open-source standard that enforces transfer and eligibility rules at the smart contract level [24][26]. Apex Group took a majority stake on May 21, 2025 [25], and Tokeny reports $32 billion tokenized across 120+ use cases (September 2026, per its site) [24].
- Standards and chains: ERC-3643 on private and public chains, with deployments on Polygon and Avalanche [24][26][27].
- Regulatory footprint: Tokeny supplies the platform; fund administration and distribution run through parent Apex Group's Digital 3.0 platform [27].
- Notable deployments: ABN AMRO used Tokeny for a EUR 5 million green bond on Polygon that funded Vesteda (September 2023) [26]. SkyBridge Capital's agreement to tokenize $300 million of hedge funds on Avalanche (August 2025) [27].
- Consider it if: you want ERC-3643 from its creator.
- Look elsewhere if: you prefer a different token standard [24].
Best for bank-grade custody plus tokenization
Taurus
Best for: banks that want custody, tokenization and trading on one platform in their own infrastructure, with full key control.
Taurus is a Swiss infrastructure provider for banks and regulated institutions, covering custody (Taurus-PROTECT), tokenization (Taurus-CAPITAL), trading (Taurus-PRIME) and interbank settlement (Taurus-NETWORK) [28]. It calls itself a technology provider, not a custodian: banks run its software and remain custodian of record [28].
- Standards and chains: CMTAT, ERC-3643, ERC-1400, SPL, Stellar and Canton standards on 35+ public and permissioned blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Stellar, Hedera and Canton [29].
- Regulatory footprint: Taurus SA holds a FINMA securities firm license, and Taurus (Europe) Ltd holds a CySEC MiFID license [28].
- Notable deployments: agreements covering custody and tokenization with Deutsche Bank (September 14, 2023) [30] and, subject to regulatory approvals, State Street (August 20, 2024) [31].
- Consider it if: you are a bank building digital asset services on infrastructure you control.
- Look elsewhere if: you are a single issuer that wants a hosted, self-serve launch [28].
Best for UK-regulated issuance, custody and trading
Archax
Best for: institutions that want tokenization, custody, listing and distribution from an FCA-regulated group with EU and US entities.
Archax is a group of regulated digital asset companies, and Archax UK is regulated by the FCA (FRN 838656) [32]. It offers tokenisation as a service alongside custody, a regulated exchange and its Invest distribution platform [33].
- Standards and chains: a chain-agnostic engine [33]. Its $GOVY token runs on Ethereum, Hedera and Stellar with transfers limited to whitelisted wallets [34], and Archax added Aptos in February 2026 [35].
- Regulatory footprint: entities regulated by the FCA, the CNMV under MiFID II and FINRA [32]. Its US broker-dealer received FINRA approval on September 8, 2026 and expects to start in Q3 2026 [36].
- Notable deployments: $GOVY, a tokenized perpetual US Treasury bill product with Northern Trust holding the underlying bills (June 17, 2026) [34].
- Consider it if: you want a UK-regulated path from issuance to trading.
- Look elsewhere if: you want software to run issuance yourself [33].
Best for DeFi-native credit and funds
Centrifuge
Best for: asset managers distributing tokenized funds and credit strategies into DeFi across many chains.
Centrifuge runs an open-source protocol for tokenizing and distributing financial products across blockchains [37]. Its docs name Apollo, Janus Henderson and S&P Dow Jones Indices among the institutions it works with [38], and its homepage showed 1.8B+ in total value locked in September 2026 [39]. Issuers can self-serve or use a white-glove service [39].
- Standards and chains: ERC-20 share tokens with ERC-4626, ERC-7540 and ERC-7575 vaults [37], on 11 chains including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Avalanche [40].
- Regulatory footprint: protocol software with compliance transfer hooks; the fund vehicle, such as the Anemoy segregated portfolio behind HYB, carries the legal wrapper [37][42].
- Notable deployments: Janus Henderson's AAA CLO strategy (JAAA), seeded with a $1 billion allocation from Grove (June 25, 2025) [41]. HYB, the first tokenized offering from New York Life Investment Management (June 30, 2026) [42].
- Consider it if: you want DeFi distribution and onchain accounting for a fund or credit product.
- Look elsewhere if: you need a licensed registrar or trading venue under a national regime [37].
Best for no-code SME issuance
Brickken
Best for: SMEs and smaller asset managers that want a no-code issuer dashboard with published monthly pricing.
Brickken, based in Barcelona, offers a no-code platform to issue and manage tokenized equity, debt, private credit and funds [43]. It reports 150+ clients and $660M+ in tokenized value [43], and its plans start at EUR 299 per month with no setup fee [8], both as of September 2026.
- Standards and chains: ERC-20 tokens with an on-chain whitelist, on Ethereum, Base, BNB Smart Chain and Avalanche C-Chain [44].
- Regulatory footprint: selected for the European Commission's European Blockchain Regulatory Sandbox in June 2024 [45]. It lists ISO 27001, 27701 and 27018 certification [43].
- Notable deployments: CONSA, a Chilean salt group, tokenized a share of its 2025 to 2034 earnings (case study, January 2025) [46]. Since a July 2025 partnership, clients can trade on Assetera, a MiFID II-regulated Austrian exchange [47].
- Consider it if: you want to launch quickly on a monthly plan.
- Look elsewhere if: you are a bank that needs the stack on its own infrastructure [43].

How to choose
- If your investors are in the US, shortlist Securitize for a full regulated stack [1], or Zoniqx to reach broker-dealers and RIAs [15].
- If your bond must be a German crypto security, start with a BaFin-authorized registrar such as Cashlink, 21X, DekaBank or Tradevest Digital Assets [3][4][5][6]. Our eWpG bond guide covers the steps.
- If you need EU secondary trading, shortlist 21X [4] after checking the DLT Pilot Regime rules.
- If you are a bank building in-house, shortlist Taurus [28] and compare custody providers.
- If you are tokenizing a fund or private credit, compare Tokeny's permissioned route [24] with Centrifuge's DeFi route [37]; see our guides to fund tokenization and tokenized private credit.
- If you want a fast, low-budget launch, compare Bitbond Token Tool and Brickken [8], which publish their prices.
Whichever platform you choose, counsel and licensed partners supply the legal structure; our list of fintech law firms for digital assets is a starting point.

FAQ
What is the best tokenization platform for a bank?
It depends on the bank's role. A bank building custody and tokenization on its own infrastructure can evaluate Taurus, which is FINMA-regulated and signed agreements with Deutsche Bank in 2023 and State Street in 2024 [28][30][31]. A bank issuing its own digital bond needs issuance software, such as Tokeny [26] or Bitbond. For a German eWpG crypto security it also needs a licensed crypto securities registrar, such as Cashlink or 21X [3][4].
Which platform should I use to issue a tokenized bond in Germany?
Under Germany's Electronic Securities Act (eWpG), a crypto security is an electronic security entered in a crypto securities register, and the issuer names the registrar [2][48]. Keeping that register is an activity BaFin authorizes, and its database lists Cashlink, 21X, DekaBank and Tradevest Digital Assets as authorized registrars as of September 28, 2026 [3][4][5][6]. Issuers combine a registrar with issuance software and counsel.
Where can tokenized securities trade on a regulated venue in the EU?
The EU DLT Pilot Regime, applying since March 23, 2023, provides a legal framework for trading and settling financial instruments on DLT market infrastructure [49]. 21X operates a DLT trading and settlement system under it, licensed by BaFin and fully open since September 8, 2025 [4][7]. Securitize's Spanish affiliate operates another, licensed by the CNMV in November 2025 [1][14]. Check each venue's eligibility rules before structuring.
Does a tokenization platform make my issuance compliant?
No. Software can enforce rules such as allowlists, transfer restrictions and investor eligibility checks, but compliance comes from the legal structure, the offering documents and the licensed parties involved, such as a registrar, broker-dealer, transfer agent or trading venue. Ask counsel which roles your issuance needs in each jurisdiction, then choose a platform that supports that structure.
How much does a tokenization platform cost?
Few platforms publish prices. Bitbond Token Tool is pay per use: $99 for a core token, $199 for an advanced token and $499 for an RWA asset token, with free testnets, or an enterprise flat license. Brickken's issuer plans start at EUR 299 per month as of September 2026 [8]. Enterprise platforms generally quote after scoping the issuance and jurisdictions.
Shortlisting platforms for an issuance? Bitbond's team has supported 300+ token offerings since issuing the first BaFin-approved security token bond in 2019. Talk to us about your structure, or try Token Tool on a testnet for free.
